Albums
For A Time
Recorded in one day on November 27th, 2007, at Supernatural Sound, this album is entirely originals. The group had only been playing together for about 3 weeks, and the explorations of the songs gives everything a fresh yet restrained feel. Ben recruited the help of local rocker Leigh Marble to mix down the recording, with an emphasis on creating a true album instead of a collection of songs.
Hurdles
After a year of shifting personnel, the group settled down long enough to record a 5 song EP at West Hills Friends Church and in Ben's living room. Despite the shift to a drumless trio, the CD does include the trio's last recordings with Murray Gusseck before he departed back to the world of teaching. This is the first BMT album to be released under the Diatic Record label, and Ben's new group is already working on following this EP up with a full album, hopefully early next year.
From Scratch
Released in May of 2002, this was BMT's first studio recording and the last recording with the original line-up. A few months later, Seth Tippin started graduate school and couldn't continue playing. A packed house at the now defunct Jazz de Opus marked the release of this CD, complimented by a great review in the Willamette Week and Oregonian.
